Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies are, which ones this site uses, and how you can manage your preferences. We keep it plain and straightforward.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember certain things — like whether you have accepted this notice — so you are not asked every single time.

Cookies do not contain personal information on their own. They are a standard tool used across the web and are covered under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and related guidelines on electronic communications.

Types of Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

Always active
Required

These cookies are necessary for the site to function. They handle things like remembering your cookie consent choice, maintaining basic security, and keeping the site navigable. They cannot be switched off.

Duration: Session or up to 12 months  ·  Examples: cookieConsent preference store

Analytics Cookies

Optional

Help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited most, how long people spend on each section, and where they came from. This allows us to improve the site over time.

Duration: Up to 24 months  ·  Examples: Google Analytics (_ga, _gid)

Marketing Cookies

Optional

Used to track visits across other websites so that relevant content and notices can be shown to you. These are set by advertising platforms we may use for outreach.

Duration: Up to 90 days  ·  Examples: Meta Pixel (_fbp), Bing Ads (MUID)

Preference Cookies

Optional

Store your settings and choices so the site behaves consistently across your visits. This might include language or region preferences, if applicable.

Duration: Up to 12 months  ·  Examples: Language selection, display settings

Third-Party Services

Some cookies on this site are set by external services rather than by Halvard directly. These include:

  • Google Analytics — measures site traffic and visitor behaviour. Governed by Google's privacy terms.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — supports outreach activity. Governed by Meta's data policies.
  • Microsoft Bing Ads — assists with search-based outreach. Governed by Microsoft's privacy documentation.
  • Google Maps — used to embed a map on our homepage. Governed by Google's Maps terms.

Each of these services has its own privacy documentation, which we encourage you to review if you have specific concerns.
